Marvel's Spider-Man Does an Outfit Change with these Crocs Classic Clogs

The last few years have seen Crocs collaborate with a plethora of different people, institutions, and pop culture properties, but almost none have been able to compete with the brand's partnership with the Disney conglomerate. In addition to bringing its original characters to footwear form, the beloved company has also reimagined some of its acquired franchises as Classic Clog pairs—including the world of Marvel. Spider-Man is the collaboration's latest muse.

Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's superhero recently inspired two takes on the popular Crocs style. The pairs arrive shortly after the slip-on silhouette has taken on ensembles referencing Wolverine from X-Men and Fantastic Four. Akin to the former offering, the Spider-Man Classic Clogs deliver two different outfits atop the popular footwear design: one option features a classic aesthetic reminiscent of the fictional character's look in the comic books, while the accompanying makeover seemingly nods to Spider-Man's costumes in the films by Marvel Studios. The latter style includes a fabric cover over its Croslite™ upper, recreating the identity-concealing garb worn by Peter Parker. Its spider logo and web-inspired elements opt for a glossy black finish, which complements the slightly-patterned sole unit underfoot.

By comparison, the first offering by Marvel and Crocs sees a more animated presentation. Midsoles and heel straps indulge in a rich blue hue, while the remainder of the top-half sees an equally-eye-catching red makeover. Bio-circular upper's feature printed-on elements that depict everything from Spider-Man's costume to comic book-like scenes. Jibbitz™ charms nod to The Amazing Spider-Man, Daily Bugle, and the masked web-slinger.
