Nina Chanel Abney Brings A Glow-in-the-Dark Finish to the Crocs Pollex Clog
Illinois-born creative, Nina Chanel Abney, has recently unveiled her latest footwear collaboration: a glow-in-the-dark edition of the Crocs Pollex Clog.
The status of her relationship with Jordan Brand isn't known, but her linkup with the Colorado-based experts in comfort could hint at no more Air Jordan retros by the 43-year-old artist. Nevertheless, her interpretation of Salehe Bembury's Crocs silhouette indulges the same thoughtfulness as her previous work.
Limited to just 1,000 pairs, Nina Chanel Abney's Pollex Clog features a black-and-white pattern across the model's Croslite™ upper. Left shoe's feature the detail with a face-reminiscent element, while the right shoe keeps things traditional in a checkerboard style. Both, however, enjoy a glow-in-the-dark finish, falling in line with other styles of the beloved Classic Clog. Co-branding on the footbed cements the artist's relationship with both Crocs and Bembury, which could give way to more product. Lastly, a semi-translucent, pink component appears on the toe and outsole.
The special Pollex Clog lives under the Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job banner. It will see an exclusive launch via Nina Chanel Abney's getsupercool.com website on Wednesday, April 29, at 12 p.m. EST/9 a.m. PST.
