Here’s what sneakers the world leaders rocked during last weekend’s G7 Summit

    Presidential drip.

Last weekend’s 47th G7 Summit in Quebec Canada was an important one. It was Prez Trump’s first as the leader of the free world, and the whole world felt the tension rising between the world’s key figures.

Who would have known the best way to break the ice at the meeting was to share with some heat on feet. A talking point that each leader could boast about their LPUs and what deadstocks they currently have on ice. We got the inside scoop on what was really hiding below those desks – and boy was there some fire.

Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada // OVO x adidas NMD

JT wouldn’t be Canadian if he didn’t rep their biggest export – Drake — right? But we don’t picture Trudeau as a Jordan head. Odds are he’s sitting on one of the first pairs of OVO NMDs, just one of the perks of being in the top office of Drizzy’s homeland.

Donald Trump, President of the United States of America // New Balance 624

Nobody wears sneakers better than Donald Trump. Nobody. Believe me, he’s worn billions of them. Billions. And what better way to keep America Great, than to keep Jobs right there on US soil? New Balance have been doing that for years, and will continue to manufacture them right here in the U S of A. Although, Donald doesn’t know that his beloved 624s are made offshore, in the land of the Red Dragon.

Giuseppe Conte, Prime Minister of Italy // Air Qioadan 7

Italy has fallen on tough times. Almost falling out of the EU and with crippling debt has left Conte struggling to make ends meet. As a result, he’s had to buy direct from a factory in China. Which always leaves you exposed to knock-offs.

Emmanuel Macron, President of France // Wing Tips

Macron looks like a stylish young guy — but in typical French fence-sitting fashion, he can’t decide between Adidas or Nike. Because of the fact he can’t make a decision on anything, he’s rocked up in wing tips, applauding everyone else’s sneaker options like a giddish yes man.

Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany // adidas Superstars

Angela has been around for a long, long time. She’s even older than the Adidas Superstar – her go to choice for after hours. She was 15 when they first came out, so they defined her generation. Plus, she’s not only held onto those values, but she still remains in vogue to this day.

Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan // atmos x Air Max 1 Animal

Just one look at this dude’s face and you know he’s got serious clout. He would be doing the Land of the Rising Sun a disservice to not wear something wild. After all, Japan is known for it’s abstract fashion and addiction to sneakers. And what’s more ludicrous than this year’s Animal Pack Air Max 1? Not much.

Theresa May, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom // HomyPed Tess

What would you expect from the world’s most boring woman? Honestly, she could kill the vibe at a funeral. And so could her super-clean pair of HomyPed Tess’ she’s had since 1997. And they are of course, black, as to not show an ounce of fun.
