Prada Aren’t Treading Lightly in 2019
Do luxury brands have a place in sneaker culture?
That’s still up for debate, but whatever your position is on the matter, you can’t deny that some haute couture houses are bringing some completely different perspectives to the scene. And there’s no better example than Prada and their chunky-clunky Cloudbust
That silhouette was easily their best of 2018, but 2019 will see the fashion house push the envelope even further, as you can see here from their Cloudbust Thunder at their FW19 show in Milano.
The Thunder revamps the upper with Tron-like overlays in bold primary hues, but the sole is the real money-maker here. Taking the bulbous design of last year’s build, the Thunder takes the ubiquitous hiking aesthetic and magnifies it for a tread that will give you all the runway grip you need.
No release info for these yet, but stay tuned for more deets.
