Paid back.
November 14th was a date that pretty much every college basketball fan had locked in their calendar. Yesterday was that day — the day that the Wolverines finally got their chance to seek revenge on a Villanova team that killed off their national championship hopes just a few months ago.
And the Wolves bit back.

Michigan didn’t just get revenge, they punished the Wildcats in a 27-point blowout, on the back of Charles Matthews’s 19 points. Full credit must go to Michigan, but the bigger story is just how awful their opponents were. The defending national champs were woeful, held to just 48 points and shot an embarrassing 38.2 percent from the field.
These are not the numbers you’d expect from the reigning champions and a No. 8-ranked team.
No. 8 Villanova lost by 27 points tonight, the 4th-worst home loss by an AP Top 10-ranked team in the AP poll era.
The 27-point loss is the 2nd-worst under Jay Wright (lost by 28 vs Creighton in 2014). pic.twitter.com/1lncSL9wCh

With an incredibly talented roster and one of the best basketball minds in the world at the helm, we want to know what the hell is going on in Villanova? Nova need to get its act together if they want to go back to back. Performances like last night are unacceptable, so expect to see a different Villanova next game. But for now, it’s all about the Maize and Blue.
