Nike‘s new Utility range, which kicked off on the Air Force 1 Low last year, brings with it rugged materials and maximal design cues to some of the Swoosh’s most iconic kicks.

And you can’t get any more iconic than the series’ next installment

The Air Jordan 1 is next to don the overzealous pull tabs, excessive embellishments and heavy-duty materials with this duo of colorways surfacing on Nike’s official website today. At its base, this Utility Air Jordan 1 — dubbed the “Cargo” — arrives in a clean black and white and cream and white combo respectively. Additions to the 1985 icon include heavy-duty nylon underlays, run from the mid-foot up to the throat, with buttery tumbled leather overlays and toe box. That leather continues in a dual-strap stemming from the heel wrap, which houses two of the upper lace stays. Cross-weaved nylon straps — which appear to be superfluous — engulf the medial and lateral Swoosh branding, as well as a clear window at the tongue, for the wearer to pop in any image/logo/saying/whatever they like. Capping off the design — like most of the utility range — is a three-ringed ribbon back pull tab, which also extends down the sneaker’s tongue.

A release date for both of the Air Jordan 1 Cargo offerings was not provided with the image set, but with people getting their hands on them as we speak, you can expect a release to hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more!
