Despite technically being an Air Jordan 1, the silhouette’s Centre Court creation has frankly struggled in the retro-driven market. It’s quite clearly a favorite design of Mike’s, having been sighted in the sneaker several times since its debut in The Last Dance — but not everything MJ touched turns to gold (especially when it comes to denim). But when something’s struggling, Jordan Brand often reaches deep down into their bag of ol’ trusty designs, and look what they found between “Chicago” and Reverse Checks — UNDEFEATED.

Though not an official collaboration with the LA-based retailer, the schematic of dusty olive, black, and orange is synonymous with the brand’s early collaborative aesthetic, namely their ultra-rare Air Jordan 4. Here, the Centre Court borrows the militaristic design cues and spreads them across the tennis-inspired trainer. Uppers of olive leather show deviating dyes, with each pair’s upper gifted its own unique finish. Liners and laces of black add pop, but not as much as the rear overlay in rich orange. Here, the leather heel wrap is omitted in favor of thick tonal embroidery, and the pair is then capped off with a solid white sole unit underfoot.
