The Women's Air Jordan 1 High MM Available Now in "Blue Tint/University Blue"

The Air Jordan 1 is in the midst of its 40th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, Nike, Inc. has prepped a number of special releases telling the story of Michael Jordan's first signature model. Additionally, the Oregon-based company has experimented with the silhouette, delivering offerings like the women's 'Method of Make' version.

Having debuted a few years ago, the AJ1 MM (as it's often referred to) injects a fashion-forward aesthetic and construction into the old school basketball sneaker. The update's goal is to provide improved comfort from Peter Moore's 40-year-old design via soft-touch textiles, an unlined toe box, and other modifications. The result is a refreshing take on the familiar Air Jordan–one that further cements its legacy outside of the hardwood.

The latest Method of Make iteration of the iconic sneaker seemingly nods to #23's alma mater, the University of North Carolina. Each deconstructed panel on the pair indulges in a shade of blue–which includes 'Blue Tint', 'University Blue', 'Hydrogen Blue', and 'Dark Powder Blue'. Together, each color helps bring the Jordan Brand legacy to the modern era.
