2020’s Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC to Chicago” managed to pack in as much homage to Mike’s career at the Black Toe blocking allowed. But it’s a colorway we may not even have received, as it appears that the brand was testing a handful of alternate options, including this straight-up Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black UNC” sample as part of the pair’s sampling process.
Revealed by sample collector bitchlikemykicks, the pair shoes an identical tumbled leather build in classic Bred blocking with Powder Blue in place of the original’s red hue. Of course, we got this exact same release with red toe boxes, outsoles, and tongue branding; however, it’s hard to pass up on such a clean colorway as this. Perhaps, one day we will see a release in this scheme.
If you like this OG Bred blocking — and the black and blue combo — then be sure to check out the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Mystic Navy”, as the official images for the pair just dropped
