Before becoming known as the Air Jordan 9, the ninth Air Jordan silhouette was known internally as the Air Jordan International. Famously developed and launched during MJ's hiatus from basketball and foray into Minor League Baseball, the AJ9 appeared in Space Jam on the feet of His Airness.
Historically, the "White/Black/True Red"-colored high-top hadn't been referred to as the "Space Jam" colorway, but Jordan Brand has decided to highlight the pair's cameo in the Looney Tunes universe for the 2026 retro.
The sneaker arrives in a commemorative shoe box and in sizing for the whole family. Its release on Sept. 12 marks the sixth time the OG style has launched since 1993.

SKU: IQ5700-900 (Men's)
MSRP: $255
Michael Jordan has famously been cited as not being the biggest fan of footwear in the color green. And yet, one of 2026's most-exciting retros is the "Green Screen" Air Jordan 11.
Also referred to as the "Monstars" pair, the "Gym Green/Lucky Green/Orange Peel"-clad sneaker breathes new life into the patent leather-covered classic design. The "Green Screen" nickname and inspiration nods to the making of Space Jam over 30 years ago—namely the fact that MJ shot scenes in front of a green screen when interacting with his animated co-stars. The pair arrives in a Monstars-inspired shoe box.
There's no word on if the predominantly uniform AJ11 will also release in Kids' sizing, but that's likely to change by mid-October.

MSRP: $255
The most-anticipated shoe release linked to the film's milestone celebration is undoubtedly the Air Jordan 11 "Space Jam" retro. The pair—covered in a shiny "Black/Varsity Royal/White" color scheme—became a pop culture icon when MJ wore it in Space Jam as he helped his animated friends defeat the Monstars.
Prior to starring alongside Bugs Bunny, Michael Jordan wore the stealthy pair during his 1995 NBA Playoffs run with the Chicago Bulls. Given that the sneaker didn't launch following this title run nor its debut on the silver screen, it was long believed that the "Space Jam" AJ11 was designed as and relegated to being a Player-Exclusive (P.E.) for #23. The sneaker originally featured the number 45 on the Achilles' heel, denoting MJ's return to professional basketball after his first NBA three-peat.
The first time the public got a chance to own the Air Jordan 11 "Space Jam," then, was on Dec. 13, 2000. It laid the groundwork for Jordan Brand's annual AJ11 retro launch during the holiday season.
The 30th anniversary of Space Jam sees the predominantly "Black"-colored Air Jordan 11 return for the fourth time. It will likely release in sizing for the whole family when it arrives on Dec. 12, 2026.

Recent history has seen Jordan Brand accompany many of its story-driven and important retro releases with matching apparel. Its 2026 "Space Jam" Range is no different.
As of writing, much is likely still under wraps, but an early standout design from the clothing lineup is the Bugs Bunny "Wings" Graphic T-Shirt. A play on the iconic Michael Jordan "Wings" Nike poster from 1987 (created by Gary Nolton), the graphic sees Bugs Bunny show off his wingspan above the "Why hop, when you can fly" quote.
Tees and other anticipated apparel offerings include a special "Jumpman 30" logo that directly nods to the 30th anniversary linkup between Jordan Brand and the Space Jam franchise.
