On-Foot Looks // Air Jordan 1 High OG “Vibrations of Naija”

As the reach of the Jordan Brand becomes increasingly more global, so too have the brand’s themed footwear releases. From partnerships with Manilla’s TITAN and Ligue 1 superteam Paris Saint-Germain to the annual Chinese New Year and Korean-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Lows, the brand that takes Flight has certainly been a global jet setter. Now it’s looking to Africa — not for the first time — for inspiration, as this impending Air Jordan 1 High OG “Vibrations of Naija” nods Nigerian heritage in name.

Proffering a versatile white leather construct, the pair leans on in-vogue hues of pale vanilla and black; the two intertwined on the pair’s thematic textile Swooshes and collar. These details likely lean into the colorway’s Nigerian inspiration, though specifics regarding its roots have not yet been shared. Elsewhere, creamy sails dress the liners, laces, Wings motifs and outsole, with white nylon tongues and sail midsoles completing the design.
