First previewed last year, the Bred-blocked leather Air Jordan 1 High “UNC to CHI” was thought to be an accompanying pair to the Chicago-blocked, patent leather Fearless Air Jordan 1 of the same name. In fact, it actually forms part of Jordan Brand’s All-Star Weekend roster for 2020. Like the aforementioned pair, this edition pays tribute to Mike’s transition as a college Champion to an NBA Champion, and what better time to celebrate that than on the silhouette’s 35th anniversary, on All-Star Weekend in the City that Mike called home for 13 seasons.

The pair picks up where the other left of, keeping the same spit blocking of UNC in the rear and Bulls upfront. Heavily tumbled leathers are utilized on each and every panel of the upper, with blacks providing the base, red on the toe cap and Dark Powder Blue on the collars and heel overlays. Completing the design are 1-for-1 replications of the bred on the black nylon tongues and its tags, a white midsole, and red rubber outsole..

Officially listed as a Women’s release, pairs will extend up to a Men’s size 15/Women’s size 16.5 —so why they didn’t just make it a straight GR we’ll never know. But we do know that pairs of the WMNS Air Jordan 1 High “UNC to Chicago” will be releasing on February 13th [NDC] and 14th [retail partners] for $170.
