"Grape" Legacy Takes Over the Jordan Spizike Low

Jordan Brand might be best known for its Air Jordan line of products, but the eponymous label has also made a name for itself through heritage-inspired offerings like the Spizike Low—a more casual take on Spike Lee's hybrid design from 2006.

Over the years, the Jordan Spizike franchise has stepped in and out of the spotlight, indulging in many iconic color schemes in the process. Ahead of Fall 2026, the mashup silhouette has appeared in its best impression of the Air Jordan 5 "Grape" that debuted in 1990 and was once famously worn by Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (laceless, of course).

The non-Air Jordan offering features a "White/Court Purple/Light Smoke Grey/Rio Teal" ensemble across its build, which features elements from five different models in Michael Jordan's signature series—including the AJ5. Hits of grape-reminiscent purple animate the tongue, part of the midsole, and branding on the spine.

The emergence of a popular retro colorway on the Spizike isn't out of the norm for Team Jumpman, but its recent appearance is a bit more intentional given that 2025 marked the 35th anniversary of the original "Grape" release. The more-accessible Spizike style keeps the look in the collective consciousness as the AJ5's 40th anniversary inches closer.
