Throughout its 40-year history, Jordan Brand has reimagined His Airness' iconic signature series through a number of different lenses. While some product has told personal anecdotes of Michael Jordan's life, others have drawn inspiration from outside his winning NBA legacy, delivering styles for fashionable folks. For its latest Air Jordan 1 Low, the eponymous imprint has gone underwater, referencing coral.

Although official product descriptions from the brand don't mention anything about the hard stony substance, close inspection of the Women's retro makes the connection clear. A 'Light Soft Pink' hue covers most of the pair's overlays, which include a patterned fabric at the lower heel. Inner lining and Wings insignias deviate in a faint blue that evokes images of the warm seas in which coral reefs are typically found. Laces and profile swooshes also contribute to the aquatic theme, but pale in comparison to the special hangtags included with the low-top Air Jordan.

Two different attachments arrive with the lifestyle-oriented offering, with one depicting the iconic Jumpman logo in a semi-transparent 'Light Soft Pink' tone. The second takes the shape of a star and provides the clearest through-line to the coral inspiration given its porous presentation. Jordan's 23 is stamped on the hangtag in the light blue seen elsewhere.

Enjoy official photos of the Women's Jordan 1 Low ahead. Pairs are expected to land to Nike.com on Tuesday, April 1, for $135.
