We’ve seen the Air Jordan 1 Low come in many different makes over the past few years, so it’s always pleasant to see the silhouette return to something super-simple. And this all-new Air Jordan 1 Low “Diamond” is just that.
A tribute to the iconic Diamond Jordan basketball shorts (pictured below), the pair arrives in complete monochrome, the pair works with traditional materials in atypical blocking to achieve something striking. Here, it’s jet black nubuck that makes up the majority of the upper, with tonal nylon tongues, laces, and liners all following in hue. It’s this bold base that sets up an entourage of striking whites, from the Swooshes and heel cap to the toebox and midsole. Tongue tags feature the aforementioned Diamond/Jumpman design, hence the pair’s title, but that’s not the only intriguing finish, with the pair capped off by a milky-translucent outsole underfoot.
The classic Jordan Brand “Diamond Short” serves as the inspiration for this Air Jordan 1 Low.
