This Air Jordan 1 Low “Gym Red” Mimics Mike’s OG Samples from 1985
Even more Chicago-inspired takedowns are on the way for the Air Jordan 1 series, with this Gym Red/White Low offering up an aesthetic that’s as old as the sneaker itself. In fact, this colorway is based on an original Air Jordan 1 High sample made for Mike back in 1985 — the same sample that has been recreated as part of the “New Beginnings” pack that was previewed earlier this month.
The pair arrives in a similar color blocking to the aforementioned Highs, with white uppers overlayed by red, a white midsole, and red rubber outsole, but it does arrive with a few minor changes. these include perforations on the white leather base and red collars. Smooth red leathers, white nylon tongues and sole units remain consisted, and the pair is completed with tonal Wings embroidery on the heel and red Jumpman branding on the tongues.
Take a look at this new Air Jordan 1 Low “Gym Red” below, and look for pairs to start rolling out at select Jumman stockists like Foot Locker early next year.
