Drops Spring 2024
Since the inception of Jordan Brand's retrospective release initiative, sneaker enthusiasts have had a steady clamor for the return of the original Air Jordan 1 High "Metallic Pack." True, there have been several retro releases, some sporting Jumpman symbols, others as women's exclusives, yet none have fully mirrored the authentic original design. Heeding the call, the brand is now preparing to launch the original Air Jordan 1 Low '85 "Metallic Blue" alongside the announcement of the "Metallic Burgundy" High, and the “Metallic Red” Low 85 editions slated for the Spring 2024 lineup.
For its third release and second retro rendition, the iconic mid-80s design elements will grace the sneaker, featuring flat-leather "Summit White" uppers and a metallic sheen on the Navy Blue mid-foot Swooshes and heel tab—a nod to the past that we hope won't succumb to flaking like earlier attempts. While detailed images have yet to emerge, the midsole unit is anticipated to be paired with a color-matched Off-White tint. A finishing touch of dark blue will likely adorn the nylon liner, tongue tab, and outsole tread.
With a tentative Spring 2024 release and a retail price of $170, enjoy a very first glimpse of the pair below as we await the official unveiling of the nearly 40-year successor.
