Nike has been rubbing Ls in our face for a long, long time — but when they started dropping EU-exclusive colorways for August’s annual “SNKRS Day”, they took it to a whole new level. The irony of pairs donning the rarely-seen “Got ‘Em” phrase only to catch a big fat L on release day can only be a result of a sick, sick mind. Alas, the releases have been successful — in the aftermarket, at least. For 2021, the Swoosh will look to its partner brand for its annual release, this time delivering an Air Jordan 1 Low “SNKRS Day” in celebration of the event.

One of the most unique offerings we’ve seen from the Air Jordan 1 Low in a minute, the pair presents in a multitude of material, print, and color finishes. Here, sail mesh collar and tonal liners, tongues, and laces play second-fiddle to a lemon-infused leather upper. the two-tone arrangement works underneath cheetah print Checks and forefoot eyestay overlays, with the print returning underfoot — only visible through a semi-translucent outsole unit. Completing the design is a set of red insoles and special 8.8.21 tongue tags in honor of the annual event.
