2020 marks thirty-five years of existence for everybody’s favorite Air Jordan 1. The sneaker which topped our list of 25 Most Influential Sneakers of All-Time, and is already on track for it’s biggest year yet, kickstarted by a special edition “New Beginnings” pack this February. Add to that a seemingly infinite run of High OG GR’s, too many mid and low-cuts to count, and you’ve got yourself a stellar year ahead. This Air Jordan 1 Mid “35th Anniversary” will be just one of those to pay tribute to the iconic silhouette in 2020, and today we’ve got our very first look at the sneaker.
The Black, White, and Maroon-based sneaker arrives with unique blocking — a variation of the famed “Bred Toe”, with colored Swooshes and white tongues — and comes complete with an array of dubraes to pimp out your pair, including metallic gold Wings, maroon and gold Checks, vintage “JORDAN” plates and engraved “1985” badges, with the pairs also including metallic gold Jumpman hangtags. Pairs are constructed in premium leathers — no nubuck to be seen — and, strangely, is completed with royal accents on the tongue.
Take a first look at the pair below, and expect this Air Jordan 1 Mid “35th Anniversary” to hit select Jumpman cohorts and Nike.com over the coming months. As always, keep your eyes glued to our Twitter feed for further updates, including first looks and a list of retailers who’ll be stocking the drop.
