Ichiro-Like Air Jordan 1 Mids to Arrive August 1st

Previewed as part of Jordan Brand’s six-piece unveiling at Paris Fashion Week, these shimmering, Ichiro-like Air Jordan 1 Midswere a clear standout, for obvious reasons.

If you’re unaware of the “Ichiro” Air Jordan 1 Sample, it surfaced on the cover of Japan’s Shoes Master magazine circa September 2017, styled in a Bred-blocked Seattle Mariners colorway:

Now that you’ve been re-familiarized, it’s easy to see the similarities. But aside from this women’s-ony Jordan 1 being a Jumpman-branded Mid cut, there are a few other differences; solid rubber outsoles have been replaced with an icy translucent finish, with the teal uppers also receiving an upgrade to a slightly higher gloss finish, as well as midsoles swapping to sail — and, of course, the Ichiro silhouette removed.

Will this release piss off the fellas? Sure. Because we’ve been waiting for this (or something like it) for a long minute now — and, unless you’re a men’s size 10.5 or below — you’re gonna have to wait a little while longer.
