J Balvin’s next Air Jordan 4 collaboration has officially stepped into the spotlight — and it did so on one of the biggest stages in the world.
During his FIFA World Cup opening performance in Mexico City yesterday, the Colombian superstar debuted the upcoming J Balvin x Air Jordan 4 “Lemonade,” giving fans a first on-foot look at what appears to be his next major Jordan Brand release.
The pair marks a sharp shift from his multi-color patchwork Air Jordan 4 that Balvin had previously teased. Instead of leaning into loud contrast, mismatched panels, or rainbow-heavy blocking, the “Lemonade” keeps things completely tonal, dressing the entire silhouette in a soft yellow finish from top to bottom.
That simple color story is elevated by the choice of material. The upper appears to be built from faux croc leather, giving the pair a more luxurious feel than a standard leather or suede Air Jordan 4. The embossed texture continues across the heel, where Balvin’s signature smiley-face logo is stamped on the rear tab in place of traditional Nike Air or Jumpman branding.

The tonal yellow treatment also extends through the wings, lace cages, midsole, outsole, and lining, creating a clean one-color look that feels far more refined than expected from a J Balvin Jordan project. While his past collaborations have leaned heavily into bright palettes and expressive storytelling, this pair channels that same energy through texture and simplicity.
The J Balvin x Air Jordan 4 “Lemonade” is currently expected to release in late September, though official confirmation from Jordan Brand has not yet been announced.
