Air Jordan 1 Mid “Disco Ball” Drops Feb. 1st
OG Post 11.09.19 // Jordan Brandis banking big on the Air Jordan 1 Mid. With an extremely strong year of general releases, including the “Shattered Backboard,”“Headlines,” and upcoming “Maroon Toe” to the epic “Fearless Ones” collection of collaborative kicks, we could be seeing something incredible unfold: general acceptance of the Air Jordan 1 Mid. Granted, I’ve never really seen an issue with Mids. It’s always had a lot going for it: a $110 price point, an abundance of options, and some pretty experimental colorways. Now, one more of the latter arrives, and it’s probably the most dazzling one yet: This “Disco Ball” Air Jordan 1 Mid
It’s pretty easy to see how it got its nickname, with a fully mirrored upper sectioned off into squares, just that that of a bonafide Disco Ball from the 1970s. But the era’s influence doesn’t stop there, with valor-print insoles mimicking my old man’s wedding suit. There may be a little hint as to what this sneaker is actually celebrating, with an Oscar-like Nike trophy glazed onto the heel of the insole — and with the 92nd Academy Awards just around the corner (Feb. 10th), it’s quite likely that these will release on or around the event date.
