Air Jordan 1 Mid “Milan” Honors the City’s Piazza del Duomo
It should come as no surprise that this ultra-elegant Air Jordan 1 Mid arrives as a dedication to the European center of Fashion, Milan — but it appears as if fashion is not the inspiration for this swanky sneaker, instead, drawing inspiration from the surroundings of the city’s central hub, Piazza del Duomo.
If you’ve ever made the trek to the northern Italian town’s epicenter, the rich, warm hues and stone textures of this pair will take you back to the wide-open spaces surrounding the city’s epic Catherdral. To capture the essence of the architectural atmosphere, Jordan Brand has issued multiple materials, including canvas throats and tongues, suede lacestay overlays and toe boxes, tumbled leathers and beveled toe and heel overlays — all of which arrive in an array of earthy colors from sail to light clay. Leather tongue tags come debossed with metallic bronze Jumpman branding, while the boldest color utilized — burgundy — is hidden away on the insoles. Completing the design is a special leather “MLN” hangtag that arrives in the same textured finish at the heel and toe overlays.
Take a peep at the beautifully-crafted “Milan” Air Jordan 1 Mid below, which are expected to roll out at select Jumpman cohorts shortly. We’ll keep you in the loop, though; Keep your eyes locked on our Jordan Release Dates Calendar and our Twitter Feed for further updates on the drop!
