Tradition has shown us that annual Valentine Day drops have almost exclusively been pained in pinks and reds, which raises the question on this release — given the timing of the official images and the proximity of the Hallmark holiday, one would naturally assume that the two would go hand-in-hand This, though, is void of any visible callouts to the loved-up day, but it definitely oozes a V-Day vibe. Here, it features leather uppers of the titular hue, with high-gloss University Red overlays in a PVC material akin to that seen on the Air Jordan 1 High “Bubble Gum”Its metallic finish enables the Wings logo at the collar to be debossed, with the finish mimicked at the tongue tag’s tonal tooling. Everything that surrounds, including the tongue, laces, and liners, all arrive in tonal reds, with the only color break coming by way of a piercing white midsole.
