The Mids are taking over. It seems like each new colorway is better than the last — historically unheard of. This time around its an SE — or Special Edition — and it lives up to its title, reflected in its material makeup. Silky silver satin collars and toes set the tone for the whole pair, which come matched by a meticulously-stitched 3D Swoosh. Smooth sail nubuck mid panels let the aforementioned Checks shine, while contrasting black overlays arrive perfectly, surrounding the Swoosh centerpiece. Nylon tongues arrive in sail, too, as does the midsole, and the construction is completed with black liners, laces, and outsoles.

“Air Jordan”-etched insoles match that of another 3D-Swooshed release that was previewed earlier this month, although that vibrant and colorful makeup is a world away from this muted marvel. That pair is tipped for 2020, so it could be an indication that this, too, will release in the new year, but as of now, the details are a little hazy.
