"Velvet Brown" Leopard Panels Appear on This Women's Air Jordan 1 Mid

Jordan Brand is getting into the autumn spirit, reimagining popular sneaker styles like the Air Jordan 1 Mid in seasonal makeovers.

As the world awaits the launch of the Air Jordan 5 "Halloween" and other Air Jordan retros prepped for the spookiest day of the year, another group of releases are opting for less thematic, and more versatile ensembles. The latest Women's-exclusive pair does this via a "Black/Velvet Brown/Chalk" color scheme and animal-inspired patterns.

Unofficially dubbed the "Velvet Brown Leopard" AJ1 Mid by yours truly, the newly-surfaced sneaker couples tumbled leather and a canvas-reminiscent fabric for its upper's construction. The latter material appears in the form of profile Swooshes, and takes over the tongue and much of the collar area. These touches create an eye-catching finish that's tamer than the seasonal "Leopard" Air Force 1 Low.

Lastly, a fashion-forward, "Jordan"-branded keychain-style hangtag accompanies the shoe.
