Another OG-Inspired Air Jordan 1 Mid is On the Way
Despite the unfairly-placed stigmas attached to the Air Jordan 1 Mid, it’s definitely been the biggest come-up of 2019. The oft-ridiculed Jumpman-branded sneaker has achieved a higher position in the pecking order thanks to the utilization of better materials, a significant rise in quality colorways, and the changing mood was consolidated on the epic Fearless Ones collaborative collection. Now the mid-cut silhouette seems to be blurring the lines between mid and high even more, with another OG-based makeup on the way. This UNC Air Jordan 1 Mid joins a previously-previewed “Royal” to take on original 1985 color schemes in new blocking. The white leather-based pair is contrasted with just one color — University Blue — which arrives on the pair’s throat, outsole, Swoosh overlays, Wings logos, and tongue branding.
We don’t yet have a release date for this Air Jordan 1 Mid “UNC” — mids never really get given a specific date unless it’s a collab — but you can expect pairs to start landing at select Jumpman cohorts very soon. Like so many Mids this year, these will be in high demand, so make sure you’re following us on Twitter for updates, as they could literally drop at any given moment.
