Detailed Looks at the Patent Leather “UNC to Chicago” Air Jordan 1
Patent leather pops up again!
Following the successful return of wear-away Air Jordan 1s as part of their collaboration with Nike SB, it looks like Jordan Brand will be dishing up more double-colorblocked pairs for 2020. This time around, it appears that the Jumpman Brand will be celebrating both Mike’s professional and college careers, with a colorway dubbed the “UNC to Chicago” Air Jordan 1.
The pair is set to release during the Spring of 2020 with two pairs said to be on the way, a Patent Leather pair (pictured below) for the lads, and a leather pair for the ladies, which is said to arrive in Bred color blocking. The Men’s pair, first thought to mimic the wear away effect of the recent LA to Chicago Nike SB x Air Jordan 1, depicts a split heel/toe blocking, UNC in the rear and Chicago up front — with the upper completely finished in patent leather. Gel Wings logos, black Swooshes, and collars and a Chicago sole unit complete the exterior, while special sprinted “No Fear” insoles arrive adorned Michael’s Hall of Fame closing quote: “Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion”
You can expect more news, looks, and details to follow over the coming months, but for now, you can expect the Air Jordan 1 High OG Patent “UNC To Chicago” to release these Holidays at select retailers and Nike.com for $160. Stay tuned for more!
