First Look // Air Jordan 1 Utility
Utilizing an icon.
And you can’t get any more iconic than the series’ next instalment
The Air Jordan 1 is next to don the overzealous pull tabs, excessive embellishments and heavy-duty materials with this all-new pair surfacing online today courtesy of @solebyjc. At it’s base, the Air Jordan 1 arrives in a clean black and white combo, similar to 2016’s Black “Yin Yang”. This pair does arrive with a differing white outsole, as well as a plethora of additions and material changes. Heavy-duty nylon underlays, run from the mid-foot up to the throat, with buttery tumbled leather overlays and toe box. That leather continues in a dual-strap stemming from the heel wrap, which houses two of the upper lace stays. Cross-weaved nylon straps — which appear to be superflous — engulf the medial and lateral Swoosh branding, as well as a clear window at the tongue, for the wearer to pop in any image/logo/saying/whatever they like. Caping off the design — like most of the utility range — is a three-ringed ribbon back pull tab, which also extends down the sneaker’s tongue.
A release date for the Air Jordan 1 Utility was not provided with the image set, but with people getting their hands on them as we speak, you can expect a release to hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more.
