The Air Jordan 1 “Panda” Will Now Release on May 10th
Reworked.
It looks like 1985’s OG Air Jordan 1 in Black/White is getting retooled before it gets remastered, with a new pair floating around the net depicting the OG sporting a new pony hair and over-tumbled leather uppers. According to AKAwop, this new pair will be arriving this year. The pair itself is clean, with a seemingly quality finish, but more-so it’s got us — and the majority of old-heads at least — wondering about Jordan Brand’s 2015 “Remastered” series of the Air Jordan 1, and why we still haven’t had the full run of OG colorways hit that program; this being one of them. It seems like they will be retooling it with new materials before we get a straight up retro — which likely means we’ll have to wait a few more years before we see this OG back in its original-yet-remastered form. It last saw a retro release in 2014, before the remastered Jordan 1 hit production (pictured further below.)
Update 02.18.19 A release date has been set for May 10th, with pairs scheduled to land online at Nike.com and at select Jumpman stockists like Finish Line.
