Jordan Brand is set to bring back a mid-2000s classic in early 2026, with the Air Jordan 14 “Black/University Blue” scheduled to return on March 21. Originally released in 2006, the sleek colorway is making its first-ever retro appearance, just in time for its 20th anniversary.
Drenched in black suede and highlighted with crisp University Blue accents, the design subtly nods to Michael Jordan’s college roots at UNC. Its inspiration, however, remains the same — the Ferrari 550M — with the model’s signature shield logo, ribbed panels, and aerodynamic curves all present and accounted for. Metallic silver shank plates and glossy midsole details complete the look with a sport-luxury edge.
This will mark the first standalone retro of the "Black/University Blue" colorway, which last appeared as part of the "Final Shot" era of the AJ14's early-2000s run.
Expect the pair to release via Nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers on March 21, 2026. Until then enjoy images of the 2006 pair credits to Flight Club.
