Air Jordan 2 "Knicks" Retro Expected June 2027

Historically, the Air Jordan 2 has been among Jordan Brand's tougher sells, but the Italian luxury-inspired silhouette boasts a loyal fanbase. Come June 2027, enthusiasts of Michael Jordan's second signature model will be treated to a New York Knicks-reminiscent retro.

According to the duo of X user @zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files, the Air Jordan offering features a predominantly "Phantom" look that sets the stage for blue and orange accents that evoke images of the Madison Square Garden-based franchise. Akin to other pairs of the AJ2 that've appeared since 1986, the "Knicks" Jordan 2 project is expected to consist of vibrantly-colored elements across the outsole, at the spine, and around the collar area, with the reptile-inspired panel on the profiles also indulging in a tone that'll look right at home with any Jalen Brunson Knicks jersey.

Some diehard fans of the Knickerbockers have already written off the upcoming Jordans because they find it blasphemous to wear a pair of MJ's sneakers in the colors of their favorite NBA team after all the pain "His Airness" caused the Knicks in the 1990s.
