Air Jordan 3 “Laser” Releasing Fall 2026; Inspired by MJ's 1-of-1 PE
The Air Jordan 3 is set to return in Fall 2026 with a new “Laser” edition inspired by one of the rarest pairs ever made.
This upcoming release will draw directly from the 1-of-1 Air Jordan 3 “Laser” that was gifted to Michael Jordan for his 40th birthday in 2003, a sneaker that has lived in near-myth status for two decades.
Originally, the birthday-exclusive pair featured intricate laser-etched designs across the upper, blending MJ’s personal story with the Air Jordan legacy. For 2026, Jordan Brand is revisiting that concept, bringing it into the public release cycle for the first time. The retro will feature a Sail-based upper complemented by metallic accents, black detailing, and tonal laser engravings across the leather overlays. While the final look may evolve as production progresses, early mock-ups show that the release will be faithful to the aesthetic of MJ’s original pair.

The “Laser” treatment has been a hallmark of Jordan Brand’s history since the early 2000s, most famously on the Air Jordan 4, 5, and 20. With this release, the Air Jordan 3 finally receives a widely available version, further adding to the model’s legacy in a milestone year for Jordan Brand’s design heritage.
The Air Jordan 3 “Laser” is expected to release in Fall 2026 at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. Stay tuned for official images and confirmed release details as the launch date draws closer.
