Jordan Brand is making its 40th-anniversary celebration one to remember, bringing back some of its most iconic releases and revisiting past inspirations for fresh interpretations. One such example is the upcoming Air Jordan 3 'Seoul 2.0,' a follow-up to the highly sought-after 2018 release that paid tribute to the South Korea-hosted 1988 Summer Olympics and Michael Jordan's NBA Slam Dunk Contest win in the same year.
The original Air Jordan 3 'Seoul' was designed by Tinker Hatfield and Dan Sunwoo in Nike’s Innovation Kitchen to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics. That limited-edition release featured Korean flag-inspired details, traditional elephant print overlays, and Seoul embroidery in Hangul on the back of the tongue.
The 2025 version will see a similar theme acorss the tongue and white leather upper, but with quilted blue collars, aged-look midsoles, and a shift to what appears to be a shaggy elephant print suede.
Pairs are currently expected to drop on May 15th, 2025; word on a global release is not yet known.
