The Air Jordan 35 “DNA” Arrives November 13
Unlike the shroud of mystery that surrounded last year’s signature model, the Air Jordan 35 has been free to roam, leaking left, right and center long before the release. Even NBA hoopers Jayson Tatum and Jeff Green have had the pleasure of testing out the new silhouette in the public eye long before any official announcement. And while its initial reviews are mixed — mainly swayed by the audacious first-up colorway — we’re tipping that perceptions may begin to change as we start to see more classically-colored drops. And for the Air Jordan 5-inspired design, there’s nothing more fitting than this “DNA” rendition that channels two 1990’s most revered OG colorways.
A loose homage to two original colorways in the Fire Red and the Black Metallic, this upcoming AJ35 drop draws an all-white upper with matching white netting at the toe and profile, while black nubucks cover the forefoot, heel, and upper eyelets. This two-toned arrangement is then mirrored on the diamond-patterned laces, as well as the pair’s Zoom Air and Eclipse-loaded sole unit — the latter flecked with a glitter-like finish — while the titular Fire Red arrives across select accentuations at the tongue, forefoot, and Eclipse plate.
