The Air Jordan 37 Jumps in on the Dongdan Streetball Celebration
Nike's passion for basketball goes beyond just creating performance-enhancing footwear; it has always had a penchant for commemorating significant sports events and tournaments. Whether it's All-Star Weekend or the annual Quai 54 Tournament, Nike has made a tradition out of these celebrations. Beijing’s Sunset Dongdan, the revered "Holy Land" of Chinese streetball, is again in the spotlight, with the Jordan Brand revealing their final creation for the celenbration - the Air Jordan 37 Low “Dongdan.”
Continuing the tradition that started a few years ago, the Air Jordan 37 Low “Dongdan” is the last in a list of colorways inspired by the renowned Beijing streetball tournament.
This year, the Air Jordan 37 Low “Dongdan” overlays are bathed in a singular shade of purple, possibly as a representation of the night sky in the twilight hours after sunset. The underlays are lined with black, extending across the mesh inserts, lace unit, and collar, bringing a stark contrast to the purple hues.
The sole is where the shoe truly catches the eye. It's a riot of bright tones, showcasing pink, orange, yellow, and even a touch of sky blue. This colorful mix echoes the vibrant energy of streetball culture, providing a fresh and dynamic look to this edition.
