This Air Jordan 4 Is Inspired by Berlin's Coat of Arms; Expected Spring 2027
Chicago might be the first city that comes to mind when thinking about Jordan Brand, but Michael Jordan's eponymous imprint is international. Come Spring 2027, an Air Jordan 4 dedicated to the city of Berlin is expected to release.
The release rumor arrives by way of X user @zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files. The retro will feature an understated "Black/Cave Stone" color scheme that draws inspiration from the bear found on Berlin's coat of arms. According to the initial report, the popular Air Jordan sneaker from 1989 consists of different materials across the upper, with faux fur arriving around the forefoot. Radial patterns are also expected to appear along the profiles and on the tongue.
One notable detail about the "Berlin" Air Jordan 4 is the anticipated inclusion of "Nike Air" branding on the spine. Historically, this logo has been reserved for re-releases of original pairs and some special-edition releases. If the Berlin-inspired retro features the heritage symbol, it's likely the sneaker will be more limited than the average AJ4.
Enjoy in-house speculative mock-ups of the "Black/Cave Stone" style ahead. Pairs are expected to release via Nike.com/Jordan and a wide variety of global retailers by May 2027.
