National college basketball tournaments might be over, but we're just getting a detailed look at the San Diego State Aztecs' Player-Exclusive (PE) Air Jordan 4.
Detailed shots of the retro arrive courtesy of Instagram user @EnglishSole, and show Tinker Hatfield's 36-year-old design in an understated, yet elegant update. Akin to styled gifted to the Howard Bisons, the Aztecs' Air Jordan features a predominantly-dark finish across its upper and sole unit. The choice in design deviates from the Californian squad's typical scarlet or white-heavy uniforms, but it allows for the sneaker's special touches to revel in the spotlight.
A number of luxurious "Metallic Gold" and diamond details appear throughout the upper—namely the Jumpman branding on the tongue and spine. Lace dubraes boast an SDSU wordmark, while the included hangtag indulges in the university athletics' SD logo. One last nod to the Aztecs arrives on the tongue's underside, replacing the iconic upside-down Air Jordan text.
