If you’ve watched any documentary that was filmed during Mike or Kobe’s time playing under Phil Jackson, you’d understand that the Hall of Famer is a little left field. His unique style of thinking, holistic approach to coaching, and his frequent use of Eastern and Native American teaching earned him the nickname “Zenmaster”. His impact on Michael was quite well documented in The Last Dance, and still, to this day, considers the man from Montana a close friend. To that end, his footwear line will pay tribute to the former New York Knick with a special-edition sneaker, the Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master”

As one of the most intriguing concepts in years, the physical sneaker will also be a visual wonder championed by a galaxy-like upper in a light purple, with translucent rear clips and wings that serve a subtle nod to Phil’s obsession with Eastern philosophy, star charts, or otherwise. It’s accented with black and white to counter the subtle yet daring uppers, and the pair is expected to be capped off with special Zen Master tongue tags, though these are yet to be sighted.

On-foot looks at the Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master” have arrived courtesy of @yankeekicks Pairs were tipped to arrive on March 19th but a new date of April 16th has been rumored (though not confirmed).
