Air Jordan 40 “Blue Suede” Releases August 20

Following up on the silhouette’s strong debut earlier this year, the Air Jordan 40 will continue to explore fresh colorways — next in line being the “Blue Suede” edition, arriving August 20.

This release leans into premium textures and subdued tones. The sneaker features a full suede upper wrapped in soft blue, contrasted by black nubuck overlays across the collar and heel. Minimalistic yet refined, the design dials up the lifestyle appeal while maintaining the performance framework that defines the 40. A white sculpted midsole breaks up the color blocking, while an icy translucent outsole rounds out the clean finish below.

While the performance tech remains intact — including Zoom Air cushioning and a lightweight internal setup — the “Blue Suede” edition shifts focus toward wearability off the hardwood. With tonal color blocking and elevated materials, it continues Jordan Brand’s balanced push into lifestyle and performance territory.

The Air Jordan 40 “Blue Suede” is expected to release on August 20, 2025, via Nike.com and select retailers for $200.

For those who missed out on the launch earlier this year, the debut colorway is also set to restock on August 9.
