After Mike’s Alma Mater flexed their Tar Heel’s Air Jordan 5 PE last month, it didn’t take too long for opposing Jordan Brand-sponsored colleges to flex their new feets. Now, following on from the Sooners, Gators, and Wolverines comes Marquette, who has just revealed their special-edition pair.
Arriving with identical design language as the other pairs, the JB promo team has decked out the elephant textured uppers with a listening navy blue hue, and work with bright yellow liners, forefoot teeth, and Air supports to keep it on theme. A light blue tongue of velour completes the school’s signature hues, while crips white at the laces and midsoles arrive to complete the design. It should be noted that Marquette‘s PEs are for the basketball program, whereas the previous schools inferred connections to the football program. This is due to Marquette not having a football program for over half a century.
Now that we’ve seen the Tar Heels, Sooners, Gators, Wolverines and the Golden Eagles reveal their pairs, it’s only a matter of time before we see the final expectant in Oregon, and Georgetown flaunt theirs, too. Peep the photos ahead and stay tuned into our official Twitter accountfor the follow-up reveals.
