Air Jordan 5 “Top Three” Release Pushed Back
2020 marks the 30th anniversary for the beloved Air Jordan 5. When it first touched down in 1992, it was like nothing we’d ever seen before; It was the first hoops sneaker to don the now-infamous and widely used 3M reflective tech, and it’s fighter jet-inspired, high-tongued and ultra-padded aesthetic became an instant classic. Now, after seeing a re-issue of the OG “Fire Red 3M” comes this a celebratory “Top Three” Air Jordan 5, which honors the three remaining OG colorways that won’t be seeing a release in 2020.
The black-based pair is centralized around the OG Black Metallic and features elements from the “Black Tongue/Fire Red” at the midsole and PE branding, and “Grape” at the tongue and lace locks. The pair comes complete with a special interior tongue tag that honors the aforementioned colorways.
Official images of the pair have just arrived ahead of their release at select stores and Nike.com on June 13th, 2020. Pairs will also be releasing in full-family sizing. As always, keep your eyes glued to our Twitter feed for further updates, including a list of retailers who’ll be stocking to drop.
