Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” Rumored to Return in 2022

Even though we’ve just entered April, we’re already looking ahead to Air Jordan releases for 2022, with a second OG rumored for the new year appearing today by way of @zsneakerheadz. Though not yet confirmed, the source is hinting at a return of the OG 1992 Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” aka “Dark Charcoal” for 2022 for the silhouette’s 30th anniversary.

Easily the most famous of the original Air Jordan 7colorways, it didn’t receive the Raptors nickname until years after the fact, mainly because the Raptors didn’t enter the leagues until 1995. Last released in 2012 as a standalone release after its appearance in 2009’s DMP pack, and a release circa 2000/2001, the OG Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” is expecting to see its fifth retail release — and should it come to fruition, you can expect something more aligned to original shape and build than seen here on 2012 release pictured below.

Just as we’re waiting for confirmation of the return of the Air Jordan 6 “White Infrared” for next year, we’ll have to wait a few more months before anything is confirmed, but given the impending celebration, the colorway’s popularity, and the long hiatus, it’s very likely that a release is on the card. Until more details emerge, grab a look at the 2012 release here below, and be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further updates.
