Jordan Brand Unveils the Air Jordan 7 RM
Jordan Brand has never shied away from remixing its heritage models. From the early AJKO to the Nu Retro 1 Low and the recent Jordan 4 RM, the brand has consistently refreshed its classics with a modern lens. The latest silhouette to get the "RM" (Remix/Remodel) treatment is the Air Jordan 7.
Unveiled today in two debut colorways, the new Air Jordan 7 RM blends retro DNA with a contemporary edge. While the pair retains the original AJ7’s sole unit and forefoot shape, nearly everything else has been retooled. A low-cut collar replaces the traditional high-top build, while breathable mesh paneling now dominates the midfoot. Gone is the snug neoprene inner bootie; it's been replaced by a more streamlined interior. A hardened rubber heel wrap adds support and structure, giving the model a distinctly modern look.
The transformation is clear, and with the unexpected success of the Air Jordan 4 RM, expectations are now high. Still, the Air Jordan 7 has never had the same widespread appeal as its sibling models, so time will tell whether this redesign resonates with consumers.
Expect the Air Jordan 7 RM to make its retail debut on Nike.com this Fall.
In other news from the Jumpman, the OG Air Jordan 4"White Cement" returns this Summer.
