Jordan Brand is channeling a lot of energy into the Air Jordan 8, a silhouette first launched in 1993. Although the high-top continues to indulge in previously-release colorways for its latest retro run, it appears that mythical styles like a "Black" New Orleans Hornets-inspired ensemble gifted to Chris Paul during the 2008-09 NBA season will finally make a public release.
The news has been reported by the duo of X user @SneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files, and follows a growing list of Jordan releases already scheduled for the first-half of 2027. The shoe is expected to land with a "Black/New Emerald/Tour Yellow" color scheme that's near-identical to the "Away" Player-Exclusive associated with "CP3" during the late 2000s. Much about the pair is still unknown, but the Hornets-reminiscent AJ8 should see nubuck, chenille, and all other materials with which it originally debuted in '93.
