Joining the recently-revealed Air Jordan 1 Low “Born To Fly” which honors the connection between the model and its adoption in the skating community, Jordan Brand will be delivering not one, but two alternate options for adults, with the Air Jordan 1 Low “Just Skate” appearing in a brand new black colorway today.

Opposing the UNC flavors set forth on the first-revealed release, this pair leans heavily on Mike's time in Chicago, as it proffers a Bulls-friendly palette based in red and black. Here, the entire upper, nylon tongue, and midsole proffer an all-black finish, with white leather Swooshes, laces, and rubber outsole joining red liners to complete the Windy City trifecta. Connecting itself to the skate scene are written details on the medial side, “Just Skate” stitching on the inner tongue, and flame-accented Swooshes reminiscent of Thrasher on the lateral wall.

The Air Jordan 1’s emergence as a skate shoe can be traced back to the mid-80s when icons like Lance Mountain frequently sported the sneakers. This eventually led to collaborations with the legend himself, and Nike SB x Air Jordan 1s became a common recurrence.

As for this release, you should expect to see pairs land on Nike.com soon, though the brand did not note a specific release date.

Until more news arrives, grab an official look at the Air Jordan 1 Low “Just Skate” below, and with more details to follow, be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for updates.
