Last weekend’s Bred 11 Drop is said to be one of the biggest single sneaker releases in history. It was a solid way to cap off a decade full of Holiday Air Jordan 11 releases, which has seen classics like the “Legend Blue” and “72-10” join OG drops of epic proportions.
So, as we head into a new decade, we asked our followers on Instagram what they’d like to see for 2020’s Holiday Air Jordan 11 release. And while many are calling for a remastered “Columbia” — the very last OG to see that high-cut patent finish, there were a few new ideas that filtered through, including a full set of 2001’s Low-Cuts reimagined in the OG cut. The iconic seven-piece set featured “Varsity Red”, “Citrus”, “Metallic Silver”, two Snakeskins, “Zen Grey” and the fan-favorite “UNC”. The latter is a great starting point for a reimagined series — its a colorway that customizers and concept artists have been punching out for years, and we’re still not sick of seeing it.
Will something like this makeup part of Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2020 plans? It might be wishful thinking — but if we do end up getting a retro of the “Columbia” and/or “Cool Grey” Jordan 11, we won’t be upset either.
