Here’s one that I’ve been meaning to do for a minute. The Air Jordan 6 “Raptors” is a colorway that’s been done by too many customizers to count, but I’ve always had a different perspective on the black-based, purple and red midsole painted pairs you’ve seen floating around the gram for the past five years. Aside from a daring all-purple upper, I’ve opted for a satin finish. The all-purple takes me back to the 1995 inaugural season, where many (myself included) would refer to the franchise mascot as Barney, thanks to the franchise’s inclusion of purple as a primary color. With such bold moves on the upper, I’ve left the rest of the sneaker murdered out, save the solo red Jumpman on the tongue. I could get crazy with these, too, I might even tinker with the idea of a tear-away upper, a-la Stranger Things x Nike, but that’s something for another day.
