With his early access videos, wide reach, and undying allegiance to the brand, Jordan Brand has sure been getting value from its partnership with DJ Khaled. It’s the same story on the other side of the coin, with the music producer getting his hand on rare Air early (and free), as well as the opportunity to design his own collection. Now, after a handful of Air Jordan 3s that date back to 2017, Khaled returns with five Air Jordan 5s, each dressed in South Florida-friendly schemes, with one clearly inspired by the OG Air Jordan 5 “Grape” Others look to full-color uppers, with peach, blue, and purple the go-to hues. White midsoles work with flecked teeth, colorful quilted interiors, and semi-translucent outsoles. Special “WE THE BEST” branding strikes the heels (as does Nike Air branding) with all five arriving in special-edition boxing.

According to the caption posted by Khaled, these will be released to the public, though it’s unsure which colorways will be available.

@prvt.selection has given us a detailed look at what is to be the expected retail release from the collection; the Crimson — and now Sail — colorways. A release date has not yet been set, but it is expected to be announced soon — so stay tuned for updates.

As per @zSneakerheadz, there will be two colorways of the DJ Khaled x Air Jordan 5 “We The Best” released to the public; the “Sail” pair will join the “Crimson” colorway for release later this year, with the other pairs expected to remain family and friends exclusives. If you can’t wait out the release, then you can pick up pairs early from GOAT and Flight Club.

A release date for the DJ Khaled x Air Jordan 5 “We The Best” Collection has been pinned for November 28th, 2022, with both the “Sail” and “Crimson” colorways expected to debut on the day for $225 each.
