As the ridiculousness of the IKEA streetwear trend continues online, two designers have joined forces to create a combo that Hypebeasts would die for.
The Shoe Surgeon has teamed up with designer Elliot Evan in designing a small collection for the benefit of internet Fuccbois.
The collection comprises a matching pair of Air Jordan 1 field boot and a bomber jacket, each referring to the now-iconic IKEA polypropylene-and-polyester FRAKTA bag. An instruction manual has been included for additional credibility.
As ever with The Shoe Surgeon, the release is super limited, with only 10 pairs of shoes and 10 jackets available. Priced at $1,500 for the set, each bespoke order will come with a custom leather Balenciaga x IKEA-inspired tote bag.
The pack releases Saturday, May 20, with no word on time or raffle system. There will be one pair up for grabs – with The Shoe Surgeon leaving a manual somewhere within the Carson IKEA store in Los Angeles, giving you a golden ticket for a free set.
But good luck finding that. It takes me about 3 hours to find the exits at IKEA, let alone a small paper manual.
